What gives us our unique character?

Blue Mountain College offers learners many privileges that very few learning institutions can provide. The college is situated in one of the most picturesque areas of South Africa on a 50ha farm belonging to the Alon Christian Community and surrounded by an abundant sub- tropical fruit area. Both the school and hostel buildings afford breathtaking views of the Tzaneen valley and learners enjoy a peaceful and healthy living environment.

The educational programme at Blue Mountain College focuses on skills as well as content where learners are encouraged to take responsibility for their learning and where teachers act more as facilitators. The educational experience at Blue Mountain fosters sound relationships and exposes learners to a variety of international cultures. Learners will have opportunity to become effective communicators and leaders and will be encouraged to achieve their full potential according to their interests and abilities.

The strong Christian environment provides the learners much opportunity to develop their faith and spiritual maturity. Learners will be encouraged and guided to find the Lord’s vision for their lives and will be given fundamental Christian teaching.
